More Details

The 106mm Chess Pieces Set is the highest quality plastic chess set we've ever seen! It includes beautifully designed and proportionally perfect chessmen. This chessmen meet all tournament standards and definitely get a lot of attention in clubs and events. Each of the chessmen has an extremely heavy weight of more than four times the standard tournament value. The set also comes with an additional queen of each color. Green felt lining at the bottom of the piece. These chessmen are designed in the "Staunton" style. Staunton is a special design for a set of chess pieces that was created in the middle of the 19th century and is now considered standard (classic). The designer of the kit is considered to be Nathaniel Cook. Staunton sets are recommended for competitions organized by FIDE. The set is named after the English chess player Howard Staunton, who was considered the strongest chess player in the world in the 1840s. One of the unique features of such figures is the slot on the bishop (many mistake this detail for a flaw, but it is not). These chess pieces are packed in an aluminum case along with a folding chessboard or silicone chessboard. When we see your order we will call you back to find out which board you have chosen.
