In the legendary tournament for the title of world champion in 1972, its participants played with just such chess pieces. Thus, you have the opportunity to become the owner of an excellent reproduction of the same pieces, used by the legendary masters Fischer and Spassky. These chess pieces are made of expensive and high-quality wood. High-quality chess pieces are made in the homeland of chess - India. A distinctive feature from other types of chess pieces is that they are made of excellent materials - boxwood or rosewood and are handmade. Handicraft is especially noticeable when comparing knights in Polish and Indian chess. A metal weight is inserted into the chess piece for stability. Chess pieces with a weight are almost 2 times more massive and their center of gravity is lowered lower, which makes them more stable. These pieces are designed in the "Staunton" style. Staunton is a special design for a set of chess pieces created in the middle of the 19th century and is now considered standard (classic). The designer of the set is considered to be Nathaniel Cook. Staunton sets are recommended for competitions organized by FIDE. The set is named after the English chess player Howard Staunton, who was considered the strongest chess player in the world in the 1840s. One of the distinctive features of such figures is the square on the bishop (many mistake this detail as a defect, but it is not so).
