Elegant SUPER FRENCH model chess pieces are beautiful and feature the same attention to detail as our luxury sets. These luxury wooden chess pieces meet all official tournament standards and look great anywhere. These tools are with added weight. The tools are specially designed to offer a solid and durable style that can withstand abuse without breaking. They are designed in a simple but traditional style. Light pieces are made of light boxwood, and dark pieces are made of hard wood of the type of Sheesham. A set includes 34 chessmen – with the addition of 2 queens. These tools are with added weight for stability. Chess board is not included. Chessmen designed in “Staunton” style. Staunton is a special design for a set of chess pieces that was created in the middle of the 19th century and is now considered standard (classic). The designer of the kit is considered to be Nathaniel Cook. Staunton sets are recommended for competitions organized by FIDE. The shape of the pieces are named after the English chess player Howard Staunton, who was considered the strongest chess player in the world in the 1840s. One of the unique features of such figures is the square on a bishop<\/p>\n
